our beliefs

We believe that there is one God, who is all knowing, all powerful and always present; perfect in holiness and love, existing eternally in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are one in substance and power.

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God; God-Man in the flesh, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection from the dead, ascension back to the Father, present glory, imminent return and coming kingdom.

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, divinely inspired, accurate and infallible, our sole and sufficient authority in all matters of faith and practice as the complete and true Word of God.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine person, who dwells in every believer.

We believe that salvation from sin is by the grace of God through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, apart from any works or merit of the recipient, for all persons who believe in Him. This salvation provides a right standing before God, deliverance from hell and the lake of fire, and assurance of heaven. This salvation is eternal and the offer is available for all persons while living on earth and discontinues upon death.

We believe that every person who places their faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to peace with God the Father, accepting Him as the Messiah who died for their sin and rose again, is a member of the universal church, which is His body.

We believe in the resurrection from the dead to eternal life with Christ for Christians and judgment to a literal hell and lake of fire before the just and righteous God for those that do not accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior by faith.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return personally to take from the world His own and subsequently to judge the world and reign eternally.

We believe that after salvation believers should be baptized by water to demonstrate that they identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Biblical baptism is by immersion, as practiced by the early church.

We believe that believers that claim to be living for Christ must celebrate the Lord's Supper/Communion on a regular basis in remembrance of His death, burial and resurrection. Communion is observed on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Tuesday of every month at Prayer Meeting.

We believe that each member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship should practice Biblical financial giving. In light of all that Christ has done for us and to effectively minister, we encourage each believer to give at least 10% of their earnings (tithe) to be used for the extension of the work here.

We believe that the prayer meeting on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. is foundational to seeing individual and corporate spiritual growth, eternal blessing in all ministries, and promotes unity among believers.

We believe that the responsibility of every believer is to go out of the church and personally evangelize and lead others to Christ. Upon these persons accepting Christ as Savior, it is then the responsibility of the church to disciple them to grow spiritually and equip them to do the work of the ministry and evangelize to others.

We believe that it is the Pastors' responsibility before God to give themselves to teaching and prayer for the flock under their care. Their primary responsibility before God is to oversee the ministry and equip the saints.
